Reservation medical treatment

For outpatient visits, in general a reservation for medical treatment is required.
For returning patients, please complete "outpatient visit" reception at the "Automated follow-up reception machine"
New patients should please complete reception for "same-day reservation" with the desired hospital department at new patient reception in "General Reception"

Reservations by phone

Reservations can be made, changed, or cancelled via telephone
There are some cases where it cannot be used, in which case please consult with us

Telephone reservation is available for following cases:

  • Those who have reservations currently and wish to change their reservation day
  • Those who have no reservation but have been continuously coming to the hospital
  • Those who have no reservation but have instructions to come to the hospital periodically from a physician
  • Those who wish to be medical examined 1 month or less since the day they were last medical examination for the same illness

However, please understand that reservations cannot be taken in the following cases.

Telephone reservation is NOT available for following cases:

  • Those who have not been seen at Shimane Prefectural Central Hospital
  • Those who have not been seeing the department they want a reservation with continuously (more than a month since the last time)
  • Infertility outpatient (gynecology), laser treatment (optometry), and rehabilitation (other than medical exams)
  • Those with reserved exams from the emergency outpatient
  • Those whose physician's instructions state that changes to the reservation are not possible
  • Only changing the reservation for a procedure
  • Reservations for time-specific examinations such as endoscopic exams, CTs, and MRIs

What to bring

Insurance cards

We will check your "insurance card" once a month
If you do not have an insurance card you may be responsible for paying the full amount
If your insurance changes due to retirement or changes to employment, etc., please be sure to notify us
Insurance confirmation and notifications are handled at "general reception" and "medical reception"

Patient Registration card

If you have a "patient registration card" for this hospital please be sure to show it at the time of reception
If you do not have it with you it will be reissued regardless of whether it was lost or damaged
Reissuing requires a fee (there is no fee for issuing a new card)

Important points

Publicly funded health care, etc.

Those with specified diseases who are covered by publicly funded health care or who have a disability certificate must bring a certificate for verification.

Reception is possible at any "Automated follow-up reception machine"
If you have unpaid medical bills you cannot use the "Automated follow-up reception machine", so please notify the nearest reception desk

Those who have no reservation and have no come to the hospital in longer than 2 months or forgot their patient registration card or have unpaid bills cannot use the "automated follow-up reception machine", so please come to "General Reception".
